How do I get insured?

There are several ways that you can obtain Health Care Coverage. You could be offered coverage through:

  • Your employer
  • Your parents, if you are 25 or under, and your parents have coverage
  • An exchange
  • Medicare
  • Medicaid

Through a private insurance Marketplace—or Exchange—you will be able to shop, compare and purchase the health care coverage that fits your needs and budget. There will be a number of insurance options, carriers and price ranges to choose from. Nearly all health plans in the Exchange will provide comprehensive coverage. The one exception is catastrophic coverage available to young adults.

Answer a few quick questions on our Subsidy Calculator  to find out now if you may qualify for a Premium Tax Credit (also known as a subsidy). Once you enter in your information, you will be directed to a customized resource page based on your unique situation to help you identify the options available to you and your family.
